The youth, especially the children of the country came to

the forefront to make the campaign a household name and

started a new wave of awareness through their schools and

communities. They were the ambassadors who inspired the

society to give a new life to their surroundings.

Touching stories of dedication and inspiration

surfaced where women sold their priced possessions

to build the toilets in their villages, ridding their

surroundings of unhygienic practices.

Crores of women were honoured with the life of dignity

through the wind of social change that Swachh Bharat

brought with unprecedented construction of toilets,

especially in rural areas.
